Russian Nuclear Tanks

Post  shadowdowclasper on Mon Sep 19, 2011 11:46 pm

Well we have nuclear powered tanks right? My thought was that while russian tanks would have normal shells, they'd also have their uranium and plutonium rods broken up into many many MINI rods, more than enough to power the tank! The tank would be able to "eject" the smaller rods into the firing chamber and launch super heated, highly accelerated uranium or plutonium slugs at the enemy! Sounds like something crazy enough to work ehn?

Most definitely. I'm picturing Soviet technology as a mix between dieselpunk and things being powered by RADIOACTIVE material. The basic tanks are mostly diesel and petrol, but when you get bigger, your energy needs increase, so Nuke-tanks are just about the only option.
